April has arrived, and spring is in full swing here in beautiful San Diego. With warmer days and longer evenings in Mission Valley, it’s the perfect time for a little spring cleaning and routine home maintenance to keep everything running safely and efficiently.

Here are a few helpful April home maintenance reminders:

  • 🔧 Clean your dryer vent. Lint buildup is one of the most common causes of household fires. Cleaning your dryer vent regularly helps improve safety and efficiency.
  • ❄️ Have your HVAC/AC unit serviced. A quick check-up now can help ensure your system runs smoothly before the warmer summer months arrive.
  • 🔋 Check smoke detector batteries. Spring is a great time to test detectors and replace batteries if needed.
  • 💧 Inspect under sinks and around water heaters for leaks. Catching small plumbing issues early can prevent larger problems later.
  • 🧹 Declutter patios and balconies. Keeping outdoor areas tidy helps maintain safety and prevents items from being blown or falling during windy conditions.
