A Message from the General Manager: October at The Lido

October is here, bringing pumpkin spice, spooky decorations, and our favorite San Diego tradition: wondering if summer is actually over! 🎃☀️

Here are a few fun facts to kick off the season:

🍂 October Trivia: October gets its name from octo, the Latin word for eight. It was the eighth month in the original Roman calendar before January and February were added.

🌧️ El Niño Is Making Waves: This year, a particularly strong El Niño is expected to influence our upcoming winter weather. NOAA forecasts a greater chance of wetter-than-average conditions across Southern California, so now is a great time to prepare for rain. Remember, forecasts are probabilities, not guarantees!

🏡 Life at The Lido: As we enjoy our beautiful community and the changing season, let’s do our part to keep The Lido looking its best. Please keep balconies and patios tidy, dispose of trash and recycling properly, and report maintenance concerns before they become bigger problems.

🌦️ A Little Rain Prep Goes a Long Way: With the rainy season approaching, please check that your windows and balcony doors close securely, keep personal items clear of drainage areas, and notify Management if you notice leaks or drainage issues in common areas.

Thank you for helping make The Lido a wonderful place to call home. Here’s to a fantastic fall, a little spooky fun, and a community that shines in every season!

Warm regards,

Patrick Derr, CMCA
